when i went camping last weekend, i was able to bring my journal with me. on the first night, i had an amazing dream where china had built a portal to another dimension, but once you went in, you could go back, and when you went in, you came out. . . changed. changed into various things, and one of them was this one. as soon as i woke up, i had to ask my friend if what had happened was real, and then i immediately sat up and started to sketch and write madly. but here's where things get interesting. I DON'T REMEMBER WRITING OR DRAWING THIS. i only found about it when i opened it to sketch, and i got the details from my friend, who apparently thought i went insane, since i traumatized him. i remember the dream, but not getting up and sketching this.

the page on the left is what i did that i can't remember, but the page on the right i did consciously, both during the trip and later when i had some free time in school. i might keep this character, because i like the way he looks too much to not draw him again.
