Rorschach's Parting

WARNING: if you don't want to read into death mentions or are sensitive to it, please be wary of the following description.

I had to draw some vent art i guess. From yesterday's ordeal.

This one's dedicated to my bunny baby, Rorschach, who unfortunately came across a rare tumor called a schwannoma. A couple years ago it was removed with a surgery and was it only a rare occurrence to have regrown.. but also if the tumor cells were lingering, I believe.. I was paying out of my own pocket, but had a little help from a livestream viewers and amazing generous friends. I thought it was all over then, but when it came back, it grew rapidly to a gigantic lump that sunk by his side. I didn't know what to do.. it was affecting him more than it did before..Nor did I have the money in my pocket this time to take him to a specialist..

But Rorschach, being the way he is, remained in high spirits and quiet. Always perking up for a treat despite the tremendous pain he felt, always wanting a head pet or attention, and eating and drinking as he normally did. His body language is hard to read than most rabbits, and he never made any loud tooth grinding sounds... but I know for certain that only did he show signs of being uncomfortable the most late into this stage of sickness.

No matter how much he ate, no matter how much water he drank, he kept getting skinnier and skinnier.. to the point where his skin was just a tightly wound cover over his bones.. he was suffering.

When the vet came by, he checked him. It turns out that he had puss in his veins, and he was massively dehydrated, despite the amount of water he practically chugs down every single day.

Even if my mother didn't call to put him down, he would have only lasted a couple more weeks at most..

As for Cupcake, she died trying to give birth to both of their young. But he's with them now, so I know it's okay.

Rest in Peace, Rorschach.
