Way out in the reaches of my Spore universe are two sister-species. The (cunningly named ) Uroborians, and the Archelians. The Uroborians evolved to be are tall, vulture-hunched reptillian biped creatures with tough suede-like hides, and the Archelians grew to be short-fuzzed semi-biped sabretoothed gargoyle-dog thingies.

Yeah.

This picture came around when I tried to imagine a branching point between the two. Not accurate to the dumb little headcanon I've got going on, but it turned out pretty good despite the clunky claws, hands and feet. Though the off-balance stance was intentional, given that one of the species developed postural problems with remaining on two feet for long periods, and often resorted to 'hand walking'.
