A long-overdue redesign of my Braixen superhero character, Violet Vixen (Renee Vanilla in civilian form). I wanted to try and do a blend of Japanese "Magical Girl/Sailor Moon" and "Western Superhero Comic" styles, so this is what I came up with. Also since in both Japanese AND western media female superheroes are usually depicted wearing a lot less clothing than male superheroes, I wanted to rectify that a bit. If male superheroes can wear full-body spandex up to their necks then the females should be permitted the same (in my opinion), and they can still look fabulous in tights. ;P

A brief summary of her personality and abilities:

• Violet Vixen is a magic user. She can cast a variety of short-lasting spells; like illusions, energy blasts, stun and paralysis waves, and her favourite technique is spawning objects; like clothing and gear (particularly bondage gear) to subdue her foes with. Her magic wand (which takes the form of a plain wooden stick in her "civilian form") helps her focus her powers, but she can still cast some spells without it. She does however need to be able to speak-out the spell she's using in order for it to work, so if she's gagged or otherwise muted, her powers are very limited.

• Outside of magic she's also an expert escape artist, acrobat and paw-to-paw martial artist, so in situations where magic won't work she has good old fashioned "ninja skills" to fall back on to get her out of tight situations.

• Personality-wise, she's an energetic diva who gets easily excited and cannot resist an opportunity to flash a pose in front of a camera or onlookers...sometimes even at the risk of the mission at-hand. She DOES have a mate in Benjamin MacGlover (the Jedi Lucario) in her civilian life however, so while she'll tease fans who try flirt with her, any blatant attempts to hit on her will be met with a sassy rejection...and in some cases a kick to the gut or a "mute/muzzling spell" for criminals who try getting too flirty with her.
