During the power outage this past weekend, for lack of anything else to do I started making a mini Oshawott plushie, and I spent most of today finishing it. It stands about 5 1/2 inches tall our about 14 centimeters and is made from fleece fabric.

Critique Time! The scalchop's edges could've been a little more refined. Also, the photo quality isn't all that good, but I'm not sure how to fix that. Other than that, your plushes look amazing! Hopefully I've been of some help.

Yeah I know, I just kinda threw this one together. And my only two cameras are over a decade old, so not much I can do about photo quality. XD

I actually have some questions for you. Hope you don't mind.
first off, how often do you get helpful critique? I'm thinking of flagging some of my submissions for critique, but I'm wondering how much helpfulness I'd actually get.
Second of all, any tips on getting sewing materials on the cheap? I actually sometimes do a bit of sewing myself, but I don't often get my hands on any fabric to sew with.

To answer your first question, I rarely ever get constructive criticism on my art, even over on deviantART where I currently have 1484 watchers. XD (I'm in the process of re-uploading a lot of my art from there to here now due to Eclipse and how buggy and untrustworthy it is."

Second question, I don't know if things are different where you live but where I am in Canada, I can get big blanket-sized sheets of polar fleece fabric of varying colour and quality at both the Dollarama and Walmart for less than $5 CAD a sheet.

Sounds like fleece is the way to go. Thanks for your time, hopefully I wasn't too much of a burden.

No problem at all. I also find fleece is one of the easiest materials to work with.
