I'm trying to start moving from black and white into the wonderful world of color. I read up on some books and videos on tips. My first approach to color is to master values first.
Some things I tried to keep in mind:
1) Sketching out the pose accurately and simple as possible
2) Viewing from far away and blocking in values
3) Zooming in and correcting it more and more, adding more details
I limited myself to one brush that was tampered and slightly transparent. I didn't have any fur texture brushes.

I didn't finish the rendering, but I'm just glad I started.
