This dragon is a New Character with no name as of yet. Named it Loom for now. Freshly made. it's still hot off the baking sheets. WIll need to think about what to name this one soon. I suddenly got in the mood for character creation.
Design thoughts.
Top-view: decide how to fade between the black and yellow from the back of the head. When seen from above, Colors that show most are Yellow and Black.
Bottom View: When seen from Below Colors seen are mostly Red and Yellow.
Wings : Wingspan would make him look like an Obtuse triangle when flying. Fat plane wings, not skinny plane. WIngs can be drawn Bigger/More appropriately at some point for flight. Back side shows NO red.
Theme: Fire and smoke. The patterning is both for smoke and fire representation. It could also be easily interpreted as a Lava flow though.
Body type: Scaled. You are petting a Lizard.

Nothing will ever replace Uluri dragon form or otherwise. Its just another character on my fat list of characters I own. I wanted some more dragon OCs to play with because of how diverse body parts on dragons can be. I wanted a triangle(in flight) dragon with big wings. Uluri is a Pear Dragon with Small/Thin wings and a long tail. It's important to refresh the art powers by playing with more than one subject. Uluri's an electric dragon, and I wanted a fire dragon to play around with. I didn't have other dragons to draw, and I wasn't very interested in other people's either.

It’s good to have and want that diversity in characters then! :)
Maybe one day you’ll have your own stable of different types of dragons. You do design super-cute ones! :)
At least Uluri-dragon and this one can’t type-trump each other with their types! XD

Is this to replace Uluri’s dragon form, or will you still draw that one, too? :)
I like the dark colors on this dragon. It’s almost like calico kitty colors. :)
