Dream Journal: Magic

Here we have yet another dream. This one was really long and confirmably a three hour long dream. I might not have gotten all the details, but I got a good amount. There were actually a large amount of soft and subtle facial expression and emotions that I don't know how to write about.

It's a bleak afternoon and the weather's gone cold. The trees have just begun to turn, but none have yet to fall. I and Kaioku are out on the porch of a home that we have been helping to build when we get a call in with a warning about flooding waves coming through. Our faces start to panic as we look to our dear little friends (Everyone here is short. Uluri and Kai are like 3ft something). "Kai, we have to leave. We have to take everyone somewhere safe. Let's take them up to the mountain." We both nod and prepare our magic grabbing everyone of our friends in the area. Then, we set off with Fly Magic to carry everyone up and whisk them away.

We turn to look at the waters rushing through from the distance. Waves after waves were heading towards where we had just left. We climb to the mountain through the sky where it starts to get colder and colder until snow can be seen. It blankets the area over the fields and pines. You can see structures peaking out from the snow what look like toonishly made play houses. There was a few Mushroom ones, and a Purple Castle Spire. Our carry was starting to get heavy, so we would have to pick a place to land. We landed on the platform with the spire so full of snow we sunk in. Kaioku said to Uluri, "You can melt this, right? I'm not good with that kind of magic. I will work on our home."

Unprepared for the snow, our group of friends shivered looking to me. I sit myself in the snow and concentrate on the thought of warmth, and the air around me began to heat. Snow started to hiss and melt away. Kaioku smiled softly taking in the warmth. "Kaioku, are you done yet?" I ask, "It's still cold even if it's warm." Kaioku jerked back to work and started incantations. The Plastic Toyhouse of a spire started to creak and shake, floorboards transforming into wood and stone, growing, forming, and shaping into a larger witch's castle. In the doorway shone a bright and colorful light. "Dang Kai, we've got a castle." We all retreat into the Other side. The other side of that light was the magic realm. We've decided to retreat from the old world and bring everyone to the Magic realm. The weather was fair, and still warm compared to where we had come from. The afternoon sun coated the land in a golden hue. Our Castle reflected itself here as well. This is where we will live.

Years later we've established a small village in the Fire Country where we were. You might be thinking that it's really hot where we live, but the name is just for show. A lot of fire elemental magicians come from this land, Uluri included. Although our little village had few magic users, it was still a nice place to live without any trouble. Visitors from Neighboring towns and cities would come to relax in our quaint little village. A few would stay to live with us for how peaceful it was to stay in such a place. This peace couldn't last forever, though.

After all this time in a world of peace in the magic realm, the two lords of Fire and Ice began to quarrel. They would cause devastating Havoc upon the lands where they would battle. Towers of Ice Spikes and Glaciers would eat away at the landscape, of blazing heat charring everything around. Their allies would join this quarrel creating panic and disarray. "We JUST got ourselves set up," Uluri snarled, "Kai! We're NOT gonna sit around today." Kai gets up and holds up a flag with a few Purple mushrooms on it and raises it above our home, "WE'RE NEUTRAL TERRITORY TODAY! If you want to sit back and watch the world burn, then come on and join us!"

"Kai, let's set up a nice magic barrier this time. I'd hate to lose our home again," Uluri smiles.

"You got it," Kaioku responds and joins into the Concentration circle. "Our home's not going anywhere this time, and we'll make sure everyone can stay relaxed."

An Onslaught of magic would be slewed into our direction merely bouncing away and dissipating as the land outside of our peaceful little village would erupt and then frost over. It would be an amazing sight to make sure we remember for story telling nights in the future!
