Mumbo Jumbo logic: Say you're saving the dinosaur transformation for the next game, proceed to not be the one that finally turns you into a dinosaur.

Mumbo Jumbo, best Shaman in all game, from Banjo-Kazooie for the #RareReplayArtJam. This will probably be my last character, even though I was aiming for three, because the deadline is approaching fast and I kind of want to draw some spooky spooks in time for the holidays.

Mostly I just wanted to draw something simple for my second character after drawing the detailed-infused monstrosity that is Ze Professor.

I'm honestly surprised I've never drawn this goofy skull-faced jerk before when I've said multiple times he's one of my favorite characters from this series. He almost feels like the symbol of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise as much as Banjo and Kazooie are. Plus I love that while he's obviously a good guy, he's also a bit of a trickster and thinks it's hilarious to just turn people into washing machines.

I will say that I almost wish Banjo-Tooie used an expansion pak because nothing was more frustrated than being super stoked that Mumbo Jumbo is finally playable, he's finally going to be a character...and like 80% of the NPCs say "Sorry, I only speak to Banjo or Kazooie" and just ignore poor Mumbo, and his gameplay is basically a glorified switch to make things do stuff. I kind of wanted to explore levels as Mumbo. But Mumbo was slow, he didn't learn any new moves (although him having a different spell each world was neat from a game design perspective), and he didn't feel as magical as I was expecting him to. Banjo-Tooie is still one of my favorite games ever but Mumbo being almost an afterthought kinda stung.

Also, one of the Klungo fights could've been with just Mumbo. Just saying. Would've been cool.
