There are many species still undiscovered in the Amazon--and countless are being discovered every year! However, due to deforestation, these animals are losing their home and struggling to adapt to the ever-quickening changes caused by the hand of man. We inadvertently have the fate of these animals in our hands. We must do what we can to preserve them.

Probably shouldn't post this right away but i am impatient :p
It is a piece for a project anthropology book regarding amazon animals.

    The cures for cancer and Alzheimer's may be in the Amazon Rainforest. We'll never find them because it's more important to burn and bulldoze it for land that will only be arable for three to five years.

      When they could have sustainably harvested directly from the forest for more money, but that's work.

        Exactly!

        It's like the problem of toxic waste. It's a byproduct of making something. It could be reprocessed, but that would cut into the shareholder's profits.
