These are the remains of the Chateau Haut-Comté in France. About the erection and history of the castle are contradictory informations around. Most probably it has been build in the beginning of the 20th century and burnt down in the late 1970s; the service part should have been inhabited until the 1990s.
Now it is hidden in the forest, on top of a slope which was the former garden, with walnut trees, a big sequoia and a very lot of blackberry scrub.
