Did you know you can mix commercial pigments into clay? That's what I did with this. I started with a white clay and mixed in some orange stain and voila! Orange bowl! I put black and blue slip on it, then scratched through for the design.

It gives you a really cool effect, especially if you swirl clays together for a marbled effect. But it's not done a lot because stain is kind of expensive and it's not a really healthy thing to expose yourself to.
