Prune

Help me kill the wolf I was;
That creature is not me.
Lend me strength that I might slay,
He whom I wished to be.

Flay my fur and slit my ear,
And carve my craven mind.
Help me cut away the parts,
Much better left behind.

All who live, we die each day,
And break ourselves to grow.
So kill the wolf before you,
And help him to let go.

Someone made an interesting comment that killing yourself is only bad if you do it all at once. Otherwise it just cuts away dead wood and opens new paths forward. Change is life is death, and to stand still is always an illusion.

So, anyone got a bone saw they'd lend me? ^^

          Nothing wrong with being a perfectionist.
