Paint the world with simple strokes
Use a brush that's coarse and broad
Nobility comes easily
When it's others who are flawed

Foxes lie and weasels cheat
Wolves, they slaughter lambs
Whole truths are unimportant when
Half lies fit our programs

Abstract away the shades of gray
Leave love and hate opposed
Find the words to lock the doors
Of minds that have been closed

How we draw the world will set
The course our ship will steer
And when storms come upon us, friend
Our vision must be clear

So paint a simple picture
What matter if it's flawed?
It's only wolves and foxes who
Are smeared by strokes so broad

A disservice is done both to art and to our fellow creatures when generalizations are drawn too broadly.
