Quiet by Tonin

Quiet

Quiet

Names without faces
They all fade away
Empty walls, silent spaces
Frozen yesterdays

Who counts the names
Of those who've moved on
Or knows who to blame
Now that they've gone

And who sheds a tear
Of quiet regret
For friends once held dear
Before they forget

For when silence falls
We all are replaced
And no one recalls
Those who time erased

Quiet

Tonin

Was just looking at the dead accounts of old friends. Don't really know what happened to most of them. I suspect one guy killed himself, and another changed his name and made it clear he didn't want to be followed, but the rest, who can say?

    Shouldn't it be "erased"? ;)

Good poem though. I wish I had your mind for rhymes.

Uh, yeah. I know how to spell. Really. ^^"

Glad you enjoyed it. Rhymes are always a pain, though. I wrote at least two lousy stanzas for every one that made it into the final poem. >.<""

It's better than sending off an email and then reading through it one last time only to notice all the errors you've made.

        Worst feeling.
