Toadstone

So back when I was a kid (in 93) I received (and still have) the young battle damaged T-rex from Jurassic Park. And I named him Jay (due to the JP on his leg and because I wasn't the most creative of kids then), and he went almost everywhere with me. The toy and the movie meant a lot to me, so it probably was, why, for years I continually made characters based on Jay, initially a somewhat inept bad*ss who gradually mellowed down into the dork of today (with a hippie stage and the anime god stage inbetween). I'm really happy with his current design.

So anyway, I've grown up with relatives who had prosthetics so it's something that's never squicked me out (I'm realizing for a lot of people it's a major squick factor). So when good ol' Jay the toy, leg busted, it just seemed natural to include that in the character.

Bio of this character? He is a dork. He has the best intentions, but has a tendency of scaring the snot out of other characters because of his mouth full of teeth.

I think I had that toy too. It was pretty awesome!

Hmm. Hopefully he's had better luck with prosthesis design work than me. (This 26-year-old engineer has watched quite a few veterans hobbling across campus and speculated on improving, say, energy recovery with something akin to an elastomeric bike strut, but since It's not my field...)
