Uh-huh...
You know, I'll be straightforward with you, I never understood the concept of closed species. To me, saying that something is a "closed species" seems like the equivalent of "you're not allowed to take inspiration from this;" in the world of artists, that sounds a bit off. Am I wrong in my thinking? Is there something I'm missing? If there's anything I'm misunderstanding, I'd like that to be fixed.

Well, there could be plenty of reasons why a species would be considered a "closed species"
In my case, my species has not been entirely thought out yet, so I dont want to let people create one yet if they have no idea how create the design.
Or a closed species could be only acceptable if you buy it, win it, or be a part of a certain group to make one.
It just depends if the species is ready to be adopted or if the creator doesn't want someone to make one whenever they want to.
