Fox fursuit by Tioh

Fox fursuit

Tioh

I changed the eyes of my fox fursuit. They are now much brighter and have a slight 3d-effect.

This fursuit was made with a 3d-printed Nylon head-base. I made the 3d-models and printed them in Taulman Nylon with my Flashforge Creator 3d-printer. The head was printed in Taulman 618 Nylon, the eyelids in Taulman Bridge Nylon. The parts were assembled using Plaast (http://www.plaast.de/) - the teeth were made by hand.

I use Bowden-cables to control the eyelid and ear movement - no electronics, just pushing and pulling on the cable. This is a very simple and cheap method to create animatronics.

There is a video that shows the mechanics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BHXK4AS5YQ

You can get the 3d-models for this head at Thingiverse:

The fur-cover can be detached from the head - sew-on-snaps hold it in place.
The nose is detachable too.

Here's a new video showing the movable ears and eyelids: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDJytYZOSxc
