Contrary to appearance, this animal/human hybrid is considered to be a divine entity from long-time past. Alies is the central figure to Cairngoa (the world where my characters reside) and the response to the futile condition of imperfection among humanity. In spirit, she still watches over the world, but is seemingly not so gracious to humanity as one would expect as the solution against mortal sin. Regardless, many people of Cairgnoa still look to Alies as the foundation to this world, in which society is built upon the values that demand judgment on sinners as opposed to grace.

This is the known impression of Alies and as such, she is far more complex of a character than one would ever imagine. Certainly there must be a legitimate reason for such a diety to cast such judgment on humanity, but does anyone ever have such courage to find out? The world of Cairngoa is shrouded in mystery and as something mysterious moves people to transform this world to that of grace, there will be those that will rise to the challenge...
