Taming the Beast - part 1

TimidTabby84

"Tears trail Emma's cheeks drying into her thickening fur, balled up body flinching as the roars of the changing beast chained upon the bed bellow madly behind. Her vulpine features consume her human appearance, an odd instinctual coping mechanism to help sooth the pain she felt now emotionally, a needed change to protect her. It does little to mend her aching heart.

She turns her sights back to the lycanthropic beast thrashing, wildly trying to snap the chains that bind it onto the shredded bed, the blood red iris's beaming furiously to the ceiling...snapping suddenly to Emma. It's maw wide and agape flash lengthening fangs and carnivorous teeth as its maw pushes out longer into a lupine muzzle, the face of the human she once knew now gone replaced with the face of the wolf; the monster that cursed him.

-Eric- Emma whispers burying her face back into crossed arms, her tears streaming profusely.

Their life had remain normal and content right up to night she finally revealed to her boyfriend of her own unique lycanthropy. She knew she couldn't continue their relationship unless Eric knew the truth despite her fears that once he discovered her animal half he would be frightened and leave. To her delighted surprise, Eric's short spout of bewilderment and panic turned to support and unyielding love promising that her other half made no difference to how he felt about her. It was supposed to be the happiest night of their lives.

But that lycanthropic wolf had to set that happiness ablaze. Distracted in her well of emotions and intimacy Emma did not catch the presence of a wild werewolf stalking them until the last second, shifting completely to fight the beast back long enough for the two to escape with their lives. Unfortunately; Eric had not been so lucky to evade being wounded, the werewolf having managed to take a bite into his leg in the initial attack.

For Emma; she was lucky to not only be born a Werecreature but a fox at that. Foxes and certain other animal people did not carry the same heightened aggression as the wolves allowing her kind to maintain enough control and be allowed to remain partially conscious in their animal bodies. Being born one Emma was quick to not only control her shapeshifting without the full moon's presence but even control the shape of her body to become more anthropomorphic than beastly. She even learned how to talk even with her vulpine muzzle.

But Eric, and those unfortunate like him; Werewolves are still consider very dangerous and wild. Their aggression is the hardest to control even if the cursed individual remains calm and collected when the transformation begins. Werewolves are fueled by their instinct to hunt and kill, to feed immediately on anything that was warm and meaty. There is very little possibility that Werewolves can learn to control their lupine spirit enough to not be a menace to society, even while human the wolf's aggression can surface without warning; urges overriding rationality if left unchecked.

Nearly hurting a loved one even over a conversation turned heated...emotions flared over the concern of ones safety or future. It is what a moment like that what led to Eric choosing to be chained against his bed, a slip of the wolf taking over while Emma tried to reason with her boyfriend about the measures he needed to take before the full moon came. He remembered loosing his cool when Emma suggested locking him up upset of being treated like a prisoner; a caged animal. He only hazily remembers his act of tackling her girlfriend, fangs grown and snarling fiercely as he felt the urge to sink and tear into her furry flesh. Her desperate plea howling into his ears was luckily enough to snap him out of his animalistic rage realizing that his confinement was indeed the best course.

He couldn't even bare to look at Emma as she secured the chains to his neck and limbs.

-This won't be our lives- Emma thought wiping away her tears as she gathers onto her elongated hindpaws shuffling to a table. She glosses over the scraps of papers and books littered upon the top, herbs and unusual earthly ingredients scattered about as she takes a small vial that has been painstakingly mixed and prepared with a luminescent liquid inside. A potion that could save Eric's future, their future together.

-I swear Eric, this is going to work. I'll be as careful as I can...but I'll do anything to give you back your peace of mind. Anything...to save you.-"

A short story that involves my Werefox character Emma and her once human boyfriend Eric, who unfortunately had a run-in with a wild werewolf. And unlike Emma, Eric isn't quite in control when he turns even becoming more and more aggressive before his first transformation. The situation seems dire but Emma has discovered a possible potion that could help save Eric's sanity. But the method to make sure it works could prove potentially deadly for the Werefox if it goes wrong.

There is a slight chance the next part may turn a bit more dark erotic than originally written, but please note this will conclude with a happy ending. I meant to come back to these images and revamp them before reposting with an updated story. Will still try to in the future but for now I wanted to share this sooner than later.
