Benizakura was one of my favorite characters in the Japanese series Ginga Nagareboshi Gin ("Silver Fang: Meteor Gin"). I remember watching the episode with this scene in it and being so heartbroken watching him accept his fate. I don't know why I chose this scene and this character to practice crosshatching with, but hopefully it brings some depth to it. It took several hours to finish and I'm pretty happy overall with the outcome.

If you can't tell, not to reveal too much if you haven't seen the series, he's supposed to be stuck underwater.
