Today is both Pi Day and White Day. The former celebrates the constant used when calculating the area of a square (also used for various other things) because the date is 3.14, and the latter is a holiday celebrated in East Asia as a hallmark holiday for one month after Valentine's Day. Traditionally, in areas that celebrate White Day, the ladies give gifts on Valentine's Day, and the gentleman give gifts in return on White Day, customarily at 3x the value, and traditionally white things like white chocolate, white lingerie, etc. Pi Day is a little celebrated Western holiday which is pretty much just an excuse to get math teachers to let you eat pie.
