It's Davy Jay of the Prairee Chikens (Monkees tribute band)! I haven't done a portrait of him before. Matter of fact, I don't have much solo art of him at all. His love beads blend in with his shirt.. I guess i'll have to figure out a new shirt for him to wear. Also tried to give him a more pronounced lower lip like the man he's modeled after (Davy Jones).

This started out as just a silly test drawing, then was dressed up to look like more than that. So there may be some flaws. I am experimenting with GIMP again, now that the program can pick up the tablets sensitivity. Found interesting brushes that give a dry paint brush effect. Fun stuff! Might do more of the other fellas.
