Sera is a Jiliac who's had some genetic tampering that gave him wings and a few other abilities.  The Exotica Genoworks facility that created them was abandoned long ago and he and many others were left on the island the facility had secretly been built on.

Sera is a very simple, straightforward guy.  He's been raised in an environment which was brutal and primal.  He was abandoned by his own when he suffered a leg injury that would have left him a cripple for life had Ricochete not stumbled upon him... and decided to collect him.
