Capella - Crystal Guardian by TideKeeper

Capella - Crystal Guardian

TideKeeper

It feels like forever since I've drawn Capella, but it was amazing to give her design a couple of updates after all this time... She's one of my oldest characters, and by far one of the most patient to wait so long for a revamp. I didn't realize how much I missed drawing her...

Poor neglected hippocampus. :C

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, and this happens to be part of a set of characters who are (long) overdue for an update or two...hopefully they'll be showing up in my gallery here in the near future. :D

Capella belongs to TideKeeper.
Do not steal her. I'll bash in your ears with steel kettles.

Oooo very pretty. Body-wise, I really love the musculature. The upper body is well defined and looks very flexible and fluid for a variety of movements and tasks while the mid and lower body/tail are heavily muscled for speed and power in the water. Very beautiful job on the hair too - looks so much like it's suspended in water (as it should... I mean, but that's a hard effect to pull off!).

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like her! :D

I worry a little that she might have lost some of her femininity with this design (she wasn't quite so muscular before, particularly in the neck region and shoulders), but I'm hoping she looks a bit more feasible as a powerful swimmer now, as her digits (and limbs, of course) are used for propulsion first and as a means of dexterity second. :'3

Femininity has nothing to do with looks. ;) I like the design - realistic, plausible and beautiful.

This is true... I'm glad you think so, thank you! :'D
