August was getting sick and tired of his so called "friends" making fun of him and telling him that he was just a screw up and messed up everything he touched. His so called "friends" were just Zero's friends and just tolerated August because he was Zero's best friend. One day, August couldn't put up with it anymore, all his life he was told that he was a screw up and that nothing ever good came when he was around. So he left. He had left before and came back because he wasn't to good on his own. After 3 days, Zero started to worry for August, he usually came back within an hour or two. On that third day Zero went looking for him, his friends stayed behind because they never did like August. A ways away, August had run into a group of traveling Gijinkas like the group August used to be in. August some how made the group mad and they attacked August but didn't kill him, instead they kept him as a slave. Zero found the camp and saw August being used as a slave. August started to attack them because he didn't want to be sold into slavery. August was hit with almost every thing the other Gijinkas could throw at him; thunderbolts, water gun attacks, etc. Zero jumped in to help his friend. They were outnumber by a lot. August and Zero stood back to back while the other Gijinkas surrounded them. August was already tired and exhausted from the previous days of not getting enough food/water and being mistreated and abused. After a while Zero was still standing tall and strong while August finally collapsed with a thunderbolt to his back. He fell to the ground, almost dead. Zero heard his friends yell of pain and turned around just in time to see his friend hit the ground. Zero went and stood over him protecting him, hoping that he would live. While Zero was occupied with fending off the Gijinkas in front of him, he didn't see the 4 electric types come around behind him, however August saw. The 4 electric types let out 4 huge thunder bolts and they were aimed right for Zero. With the last amount of energy August had, he stood up and took all 4 thunderbolts to the chest, while he was being shocked August let out a huge flamethrower, it was so hot that the fire turned blue and white, he burnt the other gijinkas to a crisp and fell to the ground again. Zero turned around once again to see his beloved friend fall to the ground for the last time. Furious, Zero finished off the last remaining Gijinkas and ran over to August and picked him up in his arms. With the ever so little energy August had left, he put his hand on Zero's shoulder and smiled and said "I've always got your back...". Zero's eyes got hot and a couple tears came down. August's body went limp and his hand fell off Zero's shoulder, August looked at peace and was at peace forever. Zero held his friends lifeless body close and squeezed him as he tried not to cry but couldn't help it and buried his head into his friends neck, feeling that last of August's warmth go away.
