This was a practice project I did for the graphic novels workshop during the OK SCBWI conference last weekend. It was originally sketched/inked on comic book art board, but I've digitized & colored it because I wanted to finish it in my digital style.

Jerry gave the story/plot and we had to come up with characters and how they interacted with each other in our own way as long as it kept to the story. So I picked Owen Otter, in his post-apocalyptic world, apparently catching the eye of a pink space otter, Zzyzx.

Aliens weren't originally part of the Randi & Owen series, but maybe I'll do something where Owen only sees her (Sort of like Gazoo with the Flintstones).
