A poem I kicked around for some years before finally formalizing it and writing it down in 2011.

It's playing on the theme that everything people consider immoral is just something natural taken to its logical extreme, and that the greatest sins are ignorance and immoderation.

Thus the Seven Deadly Sins are laid out as something that, by far and large, were once beneficial, life-giving instincts, and that fear of these instincts rather than thoughtful mastery of them created a bitter, ugly streak in the human psyche.
