Luna's Lullaby (collab) by Threetails (critique requested)

Luna's Lullaby (collab) (critique requested)

Threetails

Back in 2004, I came up with this melody while out in Richmond Park in London, and transcribed it to my music software over the course of several months.

I got involved with the "Wolf: The Animated Feature" project later in 2004, and submitted this as my bid for the theme song. I also wrote lyrics that fit the heavy Therian theme of the movie script (I have a lyrical version but I'm not sure I'll post that yet).

I think part of the reason I hadn't posted this sooner was that life provided way too many distractions and I gradually dropped out of the project altogether, and I was ashamed that I'd flaked on them. Still, it's part of my work that few people have heard.

The lyrics:

You are standing on the riverside,
So uncertain, so alone,
But the future will not wait.
Will you cross or meet your fate?

Oh my dearest, I will guide your way,
Though you're blinded by your tears.
You are safe now, I am here,
You may cast away your fears.

I have heard your cry
To the moon and to the sky,
I have heard, I have come,
Your prayer is answered!

Now you're ready, and the time has come.
Will you take your leap of faith?
Keep believing in the light
And you'll drive away the night!
(Drive away the night.)

Arranged and performed by Andrew Stein, music and lyrics by me.
