Missed the bus out to the valley this morning (boooo!)
so I had the day to chill at the beach (yayyy~).
So I found a bench to relax on, people watching, and whatnot.
As I'm deep in my creeper-concentration, some guy
give me a thumbs-up and says:
"Hey man, positive thinking..!"
Didn't stop to say it, kinda just shared this with me
and kept his pace down the boardwalk.
It really felt good hearing that, I don't know why.
Just goes to show you even the smallest
of words and encouragement can go so far.
I can say I didn't exactly NEED that lift, but it
definitely did strike a nice, jazzy chord in me.
I may not know this man personally, or what he is
really all about, but I think I can safely say that he
and I are of like minds. Like, positive minds.
Right then and there, I decided to start sketching this
the messenger (wolf came to mind when recalled his image),
finished the inking within an hour or so before I left, and
finished coloring it when I got home.
Good think. Good feel. Good day, man.

Wow, that's quite a tale behind this piece. What an interesting response to the situation you were in at the time. What was this done in, Sai for the base and colours and Photoshop for the texture?
