This is Poe's brother, Gnash. He was made from kind of the same 'mold' at Poe, and is one of the original demons as well.

Gnash was never part of the "glory days" like Poe and his cousins were. While they were up top wrecking havoc on the world, Gnash stayed below and tended to other duties. Of course eventually he heard that all his cousins were defeated. Even though they didn't come back, no one went looking. Gnash didn't really want to risk it if those creatures up top were able to take down the others.

In fact, he never had any want to go up there for any reason at all. But, after so much time had passed and the world had changed so much, suddenly the others had shown up again! They were definitely out there, and just living among others. So Gnash was forced to go up and find them, and bring them back.

The only problem is that once Gnash was there, he REALLY liked it up there. So now, Gnash has pretty much ditched his duties and is just wandering, mostly. When he first arrived, Gnash was VERY confused. He hadn't understood that once someone like him is in this world, the rules of it applies to him. He was very confused what this feeling of 'hunger' was, but now that he figured it out, he LOVES eating, and he can pretty much eat anything.

Gnash did end up meeting a friend that could really understand, his name was Marrow. He was from the WAY-up top. The two met when Morrow caught Gnash eating a lawn ornament. He tried to explain to Gnash that if he wanted to stay out of trouble, he might not want to do stuff like that. Morrow stuck around to help Gnash learn about this world and they started hanging out quite a bit.
