A large part of her design is centered around her being in coloring books, so she needs to be easy enough for those with unrefined early motor skills using stubby crayons. And the look of her initial design, her age I felt was not as vague as I wanted (all my characters are ageless, which means they are always what you THINK they are, with nothing in stone).  Keeping her original species, the White Sided Pacific Dolphin, instead of a bland Bottlenose Dolphin is a challenge, but hopefully the sacrifices will pay off where it is doable.
