Wild Spirit at Midnight

Hey folks! Sorry for the lack of communication recently, lifes been a handful
But anywho
Here is a group that has a surprise visitor, a wild spirit or free starir.
So what are those?
Well if you have seen my doodles you may know of Dreamcalling, but in case not ill just rebrief it all here

When a spirit dies under the Raddir their spirit is dropped into what is essentially a pocket dimension accidentally created by the raddir known as the 1st construction. Spirits are reincarnated from this afterlife however it is completely random and indeterminate, you may reincarnate near instantaneously in a new body and life, or it may take you over a million years to finally reincarnate.

There is a discipline of magic known as "Dreamcalling" where the caster essentially asks for volunteers in this ocean of spirits, and considering there are billions in there who have been stuck there for thousands of years each there are generally some pretty eager volunteers.

These volunteers are then brought into the living world and are known as Starir. It is up to the Starir however to build themselves a body and will frequently do so by forming manacrust and possessing it as a body.
You can somewhat consider a starir something like an undead, except no flesh nor rotting scales and instead a strange construct of stone.
Generally the dreamcaller who summoned this spirit has no force of will on the starir, its mostly that the two work through a deal that was struck between the Starir and the Dreamcaller who summoned it or them. Generally this includes a timed point in which the starir will return down to the construction. Most starir are good on honoring this deal but there are some who are more than down to betray their summoner.

Of course though not everyone wants to go back down there so soon and while not common, it is not unheard of for a starir to break it's bond with the one who summoned it (usually by killing the summoner) and running off to do it's own thing. These are usually referred to as "Wild Spirits" and are a huge hazard as that spirit doesn't want to die and will often resort to attacking and killing those around it to protect it's new stake on the living world.

As is the case with this unfortunate trio of travelers, it's gonna be a long night.

Shaggy out!
