Oh man hiatus doodle dumps!

TheShaggyDragon

Are the best type of doodle dump
hey folks! sorry ive been really busy over the past few days picking up family and setting up rehearsals at BSU for my own sake! but that hasnt stopped me from dumping all over here with some doodles so lets get into it!

As always descriptions cover pictures starting left to right, and top to bottom

I have been wanting to get some post apocalypse into the dragonscape because it is supposed to be one and i feel like i kinda slip into the fantasy side of the dragonscape too hard on occasion so i figured a good way to work this out is armor!
Scrap scavenged from the ruined cities, cars, and other piles of unusable prepulse stuff can find a new use in the DragonScape and that use is Armor! While VerdaStal is king it is also expensive and hard to get for the average drek guard or soldier. Also since its easier to simply take an old roadsign and hammer it into rough shape for armor most drekir will choose to go for that first. It isn't bulletproof but it can take a club or a stab without ending the wearer underneath.

This started off as an idea suggested on the DragonScape discord regarding a Magic bomb that is essentially an elemental grenade. I have since toyed with the idea for a while and have come back to the guy with the idea on this note. I dub em: Manatovs! I know im very original hold your applause please nostopthrowingrocksatme
So mana in the dragonscape is conventionally a liquid akin to that of mercury and it takes well to elements. So the idea here is exposing the mana to an element such as Ice and snow, Electricity, or fire, or other elements to energize it to that particular element, then throw it at the enemy. I like this idea a lot as its essentially a crude form of magic, a magical, mana based elemental molotov cocktail which i feel is thematically perfect! So these manatovs are great at being stockpiled around town walls so that when attackers show up you can start throwing lightning in a bottle, or smoke in a jar, ice in a glass or other terrible catchphrasy names for manatovs. Basically think of em like the crudest form of magic with mana, an element, and a glass container to break.

Another thing suggested by the same guy which i thought was great is a discipline of magic for Infusing elements into weapons, sort of the same skillset as scalesongs (putting magic into an object) which might allow a fighter with limited magical ability to use said magical ability by making a purple fire sword or something else cool. This guy is probably a much wealthier drek as i do still want to draw VerdaStal armor!

The Mage Fight! Here we see a Scalemorpher fighting against a Professional Breathrower (breathing icicles) as well as a dreamcaller who looks more like a local cultist... but hey they seem nice enough! Magic in combat is pretty effective, the tricks are learning a discipline and not drinking in too much mana (or else you melt down INTO mana) but it can be rather game changing if you master those two aspects. But that said mage battles aren't the most common thing as a drek might just find it easier to pick up a crossbow, a gun or a sword. But that doesn't mean they aren't awesome when they do happen!

Also a new breed of drek being worked on! The DrekirInum, also known as Cave Drekir ill have a journal on them up tonight! But basically kinda imagine mole dragons and the sort, i would consider them a rare breed of drek, again itll be in the journal tonight!

I just wanted to work on post apocalyptic weaponry and such more by getting a couple bandits sticking up a guy and at least one of them having second thoughts...
none of them want to be there im betting and JENNY QUIT TALKING ABOUT GOOD AND BAD YOU CHOSE NOW TO HAVE A MORAL CRISIS FOR FUCKS SAKE WE'RE ROBBING A PERSON AND YOU CHOOSE NOW TO FREAKIN GROW A CONSCIOUS DAMMIT
but yeah crime obviously exists in the dragonscape and some common forms of it are things like robbing folks in the wilderness as highwaymen(dragons?) common thievery and other sorts of common thuggery and robbery. So carry a weapon while walking the trails inbetween towns as there could be a couple of bad folks out there to urge you to please give them everything you have.... pretty please

Lastly another request from the Discord! Just a Caminadora de la Ciudad de Mexico, but those guys are kinda the classical post apocalyptic ideal in general and it was fun to draw!

Shaggy out!
