Spider-Ham/Batdog: It's Not Easy Fighting Green by The Pink Rose Of Texas

Spider-Ham/Batdog: It's Not Easy Fighting Green

The Pink Rose Of Texas

Peter Porker receives some terrible news from his friend Harry Osbird: Harry's father Norman has reverted back to The Green Gobbler and fled New York City. As Spider-Ham, Peter follows the Gobbler for two days straight all the way to Gotham City. There, atop an abandoned warehouse, he sees the Gobbler with another giggling green-headed freak called the Hyena. They're creating a powerful chemical which, when introduced into the city's water supply, will turn everyone into mindless laughing green monsters bent on destruction.
Just what we need, thinks the web-head, a city full of Hulks.
Spidey also notices Gotham's protector Batdog observing the two villains, and then turning his attention to the visiting hero. Realizing the impending danger to the city, they must team up to take down this green conspiracy before the villains take down Gotham...and New York.

The inspiration for this artwork was a lineart collaboration between "JamesLeeStone" and "NewEraStudios" of DeviantArt. Batdog is Batman's dog Ace as he appeared in the cartoon series Krypto the Superdog, and yes, Marvel Comics did do an anthro version of Spider-Man called Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham. The other characters are anthro versions I made up of the following:

  • Harry and Norman Osbird = Harry and Norman Osborne
  • The Green Gobbler = The Green Goblin
  • The Hyena = The Joker

The green slime was paint I poured on the paper after drawing the city skyline. The characters were drawn on separate pieces of paper and pasted on afterward.
Hope you like this crossover.
