This "anthropomorphized" Volkswagen Rabbit was based on a question I once heard on Match Game:

"Did you hear about the mad scientist who crossed a Volkswagen Rabbit with a bunny rabbit? Now he's got the only car in the world that _______s."

Naturally, everyone said "hops"...which can be a pretty rough ride.
