Entering the nether is only possible through deep meditation and focus. Those who have traveled there will always bear residue of the nether on themselves, like the clinging tar it is, impossible to completely purge from ones consciousness. Frequent traversal will cause more of the nether to build up and the more there is, the more attention one will draw from its denizens. Some say this buildup can be purged through various rituals and artifacts, but it is impossible to completely get rid of it once it has touched you.
