A single amalgamate in the right place can cause irreparable damage. Indeed this is something those unfortunate enough to be at the lightwood hospital would realize during the time a particularly large amalgamate host managed to breach inside the perimeters set around the city. Inside it would cause chaos shortly after its appearance once its presence was noticed by a security personnel who unfortunately was sleeping during its initial appearance and who was only awoken by the sound of the alarm going off from the window the amalgamate host had broken, it didn't take long for him to activate the alarm and lock himself inside the security room. As he observed the cameras however he didn't notice the parasite that managed to get inside the room through a grate on the ceiling of the room. As he heard the grate fall to the ground behind him he jumped back from his seat, but it was already too late.

What followed the incident was a long and dirty clean up attempt which eventually lead to the abandonment and purging of the safe zone.
