Northern wolf folk

themefinland

Felt like drawing some wolf dudes today, also, here is some short lore to go down with this.

"Cunning, ruthless, survivors is what would describe them the best. Residing in the northern tundras in the north where they live a mostly isolationist lifestyle, apart from the few occasional settlements by other races there. Having adapted to the northern climate over the millennia they are able to traverse the icy wastelands with ease. In times of trouble they travel to the outside world to trade. The wolf people of the north are well known from the poisons and various alchemical concoctions they create according to the recipes passed through generations. These poisons that use materials only found in the north are unique from the types found in the south and are valued by those of lesser position in our society. Poisons are indeed an important part to the wolf folk who hunt in the north to save energy during hunts, tracking the wounded prey is also quite easy in the flat tundras. The wolf folk use primarily only use hand to hand weapons, sometimes they may use crude daggers tipped with poison to weaken prey or opponents, swords and anything else manufactured outside their own tribes are frowned upon. Some other races look down upon them for their reliance on such crude weaponry and especially the use of poisons. The other alchemical products they create stretch from timid mixtures that help to endure the cold to potent ones that send warriors to a mad unstoppable frenzy."

Lovely picture, and nice description/backstory. Though I think that "residing in the northern tundras in the north" might be redundant.

Thanks! eheh, whoops, I wrote that when I was a bit tired and wasn't paying too much attention, the whole story bit was supposed to be much longer, but I lacked a bit of inspiration at the time.

Fair enough, it's still a nice story none the less. ^.=.^
