Raleah: Who is she? by TheManedAttraction

Raleah: Who is she?

My fursona is a species I created, being a wolf from the desert with maned wolf features/ characteristics. Her name is Raleah.
Why Raleah? Well, I struggle with giving things names, and nothing I found quite fit. So I found a word that has meaning to me. This word, is 'Healer'.

Now, Healer is a strange name, so I decided to have some fun with it.
Backwards, the word Healer becomes this: 'Relaeh'. Now that looks more like a name! I feared that people would have trouble saying it, so I tweaked it a little. The name became Raleah.
To be honest, I find myself going back and forth between Releah and Raleah, although the latter has been sticking more.
Because I like to find meanings to things, I made some discoveries.

The first part of the name, is 'Ra'.

Ra is the Egyptian God of the Sun. I thought this was interesting especially because I connect whatever character I make to represent myself, to have elements of light with them.
Now to the more commonly seen second half of the name. 'Leah'. Now in the sense of my fursonas name, this is pronounced as 'Lee-ah'.
There were some discoveries with this name, let me tell you!
Leah in English and Hebrew means: Tired or weary
Celtic-Gaelic and Irish: The light of the Sun
Assyrian: Mistress/Ruler
Greek: Glad tidings

This is interesting because, a key part of my fursona, is that she does indeed heal, but not in ways that's expected. Yes, in a magical world setting, she could possess some healing abilities. But she can't heal everything.
I myself am compassionate, and find that life drains me and leaves me weary.
Now I know I'm not perfect, and as a reflection of myself, my fursona isn't perfect either. She has a wry/dry sense of humor, often using sarcasm and absurd humor. She loves brownies as much as I do. We share the same love of foods as well.
Fun facts: I myself am from the desert. Ironically, my body doesn't handle heat very well AT ALL. So why is my fursona a 'desert' Maned Wolf? Well for good reason. Although I am glad to have moved to a region that is a little cooler (in the summer at-least), I still have some pride for growing up there. A desert is a harsh environment. This resonates to myself and my morals. Although new challenges and hardships arise, I can deal with them and get through them.
