The boy pried open his alligator mask, brushing away the hair out of his eyes. By his feet piped a small blue jay, a startling splash of colour among the brown he called home.
He nealt down and looked closely at the bird. It chirped and looked up expectantly, as if asking for an introduction. The boy grinned widely. "My name's Crosswell. Pleased to meet you." he said softly. "Why are you on the ground, little bird? It's dirty down here. You should be up in the trees with your friends. What? Oh, is that it? Is your name Groundbird?"
The bird chirped again, pleased.
TheTwinkieDragon over on deviantart made me this super rad picture, and I just felt so inspired I had to try and draw my silly OC.
Done entirely in Photoshop.
