I charge $3 for 6, but your artist may charge a different amount.
Communication between artist and commissioner is important, but don't panic! Just be polite.

Wow, I actually love this idea! I never thought about doing this myself or ask artists when buying their drawings.
It's a really practical way to see your idea from different points, in an unique small sketch to then decide which one you'd want to be completed. Sometimes when buying a single sketch, they ask for too much that you can't buy the full version later, so this is a perfect alternative for clients with not too much to spend.
I'd be very interested in applying this to my commission page and, also, commission you for thumbnails. :)
Just a question though, let's say I'd buy the thumbnails but not a final version, just to have the ideas and, maybe buy them later.
Would that be okay to you?
