For all the Geocaching furs out there, please raise your paw! Does this look familiar to anyone? This is what we call a bison tube. It's basically a weeny-teeny little container you can put small things in (of course, blown up via my camera). Anyways, ever heard of Geocaching? No? Well, go check it out here at https://www.geocaching.com/guide/ It's basically treasure hunting with a GPS or GPS-enabled smartphone. It's a ton of fun and there are even groups here on FA dedicated to the practice. It's a wonderful hobby and provides awesome access to places you may never have even seen before. The creativity of the containers (or "treasures" in this case) made by the Geocache owners themselves are absolutely amazing! The term "Smiley" is used to indicate to little smiley face that appears next to your log when you find the cache. Henceforth, a frowny face appears when you don't find it! I created a Geocaching PowerPoint back during my wolf internship over the summer of 2016 that attempted to bring in this hobby while talking about wolf education as well as how GPS technology and navigation systems work. Environmental education and Geocaching go hand in hand!
