Life in the Slow Lane

I can’t imagine a time I didn’t have some sort of fixation with small dioramas and large-scale miniature set pieces. Honestly, you could probably place the blame on the movie “Beetlejuice” come to think of it. There’s just something to be said about crouching down and viewing the minuscule world through the eyes of a fine sculptor and set-piece artists. It’s sort of like with [paintings with me, I just want to jump into the landscape (or I guess shrink down since you’d probably crush something come to think of it) and explore what the artist created. This shot was taken at the amazingly inquisitive Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, GA where a very large diorama like this is housed. Be sure to check it out if you travel down South!
