OK, a dragon in a kilt...I can imagine it took a lot to get that right!

Yeah, it was a bit of a challenge! I managed to find a reference photo of a guy in a kilt with his leg up to base the fabric folds on, but getting the pattern to follow the fabric contours and getting the tartan colors close to accurate was probably the most time consuming part of this painting.

I have done commissions with tartan kilts before, NOT easy!
