Since most of the Grim Zone and Halogen Zone main characters I draw are well into adulthood (like mid 20's to mid 30's+), I realized that it would make sense for me to update Eclipse's design since he's way older than he started out in his first Archie comic appearance. He's molted a few times since and is really starting to fill out and get pointier. Parts of his skin have formed small, tough scale-like bumps. Eclipse has also transitioned to almost exclusively walking on his toes - more like a Black Oak Black Arms alien.

Maybe someday he'll manage to rebuild his species - or something similar - but it's never going to be like the hive he grew up in.
