Headcanon: (Royal) Koopas can easily remove their shells for a different attack set, trading defense and power for agility. (Also, how else do Royal Koopas put on clothes under their shells?) Perhaps these moves are more preferred by people turned into Koopas, they're not used to the otherwise massive shift in weight...

Of course, my signature attack would involve my thick, heavy tail. :V
