Powers/Abilities:
Projection - Andy can use his telekinetic and telepathic abilities to generate an avatar that is physically indistinguishable from a real furson. However, his "proxy" can also turn invisible, walk through walls, teleport, and generally defy physics. He can also choose which senses he can use through his avatar
Telekinesis - Andy is capable of lifting 90 tons, while still maintaining his avatar
Telepathy - Andy is a skilled telepath, capable of continuous remote mind-reading
Strengths:
Genius - He is already halfway to graduating with a double major in physics and biology
Trustworthy - Andy's focus never wavers, he rarely forgets, and he never gives his word rashly
Diplomatic - Andy excels in calming citizens, organizing joint operations, and negotiating with the more rational villains
Weaknesses:
Real body - Andy's actual body is badly mangled, including severed sciatic nerves, an amputated arm, and lacerated vocal cords. As such, he cannot walk or perform basic functions like using a toilet or cleaning himself
Psychology - Andy is often depressed over his condition, and apparently suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, suffering from flashbacks when he or his avatar are caught in shock waves and explosions. He also has a bit of an issue with his temper, and frequently has to be reminded not to take things too far.
Ethics - Andy adamantly refuses to use mind control
Power limitations: Andy's powers can only work over a radius that roughly covers the city of Colmaton. Beyond that, his powers weaken at an exponential rate. He is also incapable of genuine life-like interactions with his avatar - his touch doesn't feel warm or cold, it doesn't react to temperature or light conditions, and any food it consumes has to be discretely disposed of, rather than digested
Vulnerability - A skilled magic user or powerful telepath can use Andy's avatar to cause physical harm. Regardless of this, any attack that does not give Andy time to react can cause mental feedback pain through his avatar, and maintaining the avatar can be mentally exhausting
Background: Andy Odderwold was a genius by anyone's measure. At only sixteen years old, he had graduated from high school, and was on his way to Colmaton to take a tour of the university campus. Tragedy struck, however, when 9T9 took control of a business executive's Hummer at gunpoint, and then slammed it into the bus Andy was traveling in, teleporting out, and then back in only long enough to spray-paint his signature. Doctors were able to save Andy's life, but not his body. Desperate for some semblance of normal life, Andy convinced his parents to enroll him in a clinical trial for a medicine that showed promise in restoring the function of severely damaged nerves. The drug failed in this regard, but somehow, it activated latent psychic powers in Andy, and he was surprised to be having an out-of-body experience that he could share with everybody. He has only recently come on active duty with the BOS, spending the previous two years training in how to best utilize his incredible mental powers.
Personality: Andy is brooding and moody, though not incapable of showing friendship, or possibly even love. That can be hard to find behind his abrasive sense of humor, grumpiness, and sensitivity about his physical body. His favorite way to relax, surprisingly, is cooking - he loves competetive cooking shows, and is a major fan of Chef Gordon Ramsey.
