It has been brought to my attention that my wording here has been a bit unclear, and I'd like to apologize for that for any who misunderstood.
My friend sonartoo is not using this organization to fund the process of acquiring his dog and its training. The organization itself has not been made official yet, though it is in the process of being reviewed for official non-profit status, and it is neither currently ASKING for donations or accepting them.
While sonartoo is advertising efforts to raise funds for his own psychiatric care dog on his fundraiser's tumblr, he is not intending to use funds from the organization (which he is not asking for donations yet for anyway) for his own needs and he has not yet advertised the organization itself as official. So to be clear: there is cross-advertising, but the finances themselves do not intersect. It is currently sonartoo's personal goal to acquire his service dog. It is the overall goal of his organization to help provide others with service dogs they need. The organization itself is not yet official and is not yet advertising for donations.
I hope that clears up any confusion on the subject.
