The heads of the hydra undulated in a display akin to a peacock. Coiling rotations as the orca stood in total fixation. Red. Gold. Purple. Black. Patterns in constant conflict moving in such harmonious synchronization that the orca couldn't help but find his world melting. The three heads of the hydra grinned, laughing, smirking, licking their chops as they lean down close. Pulling his gaze one way and another, like they were taking turns unraveling a cardigan string by string.

"Don't pull away."
"Never look away."
"Cease your thought, eyes on us."

The different heads speak in tandem, yet vied for the orca's attention as if in direct competition of one another. This hydra was more than just the sum of its parts. Three dragons fused into a singular representation of Dragon Pride now showing a drone that there was nothing he could do to withstand their onslaught.

"No resistance."
"Look at our glory."
"Perfectly natural to soak in the perfection of a dragon."
"So natural that we are MORE than you will ever be."
"So disappear. Be blank. Drown in draconic glory~."

The dragons voices echoed an insistence of domination. They needed him broken, needed him quiet. A strange compulsion pounded in the back of their heads. A feeling of glib contempt at the non-dragon. They were entitled to his free will. They lifted their heads and curled close.

"Look at him. So passive. So quiet."
"So unworthy of thought. Yes. empty. Drink in Draconic Domination."
"You deserve to be led by something superior. By Us."

They had long forgotten their old selves. The three dragons who may have had a tolerable amount of Dragon Pride pulsing through them, now utterly dominated by it. Defined by it. Thanks to the efforts of their new Master, a rarity for dragons to freely submit to, they would tame others, draw them to heel, and ensure that they followed the dragons as all sentient beings should.

They internalized that profound contradiction, and the compulsion of pride and the mark on their chest only served to make their eyes spiral faster.

They were virtually incapable of resisting that arrogance anymore.

Lovely story snippet from the wonderful @@Darkwitt
There's just something so hot about programmed arrogance. So oblivious to being controlled, and leaning that much harder into being perfect dragon (drones). Check out Darkwitt's Dragon Pride here:
